This Policy explains how Quad City PSC, LLC (“Quad City PSC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) processes information when you use Amberway, including our website, web application, and mobile applications.
At a glance
- We use information to provide and operate Amberway, including loads, permits, routes, navigation, mileage, expenses, invoices, and broker/pilot workflow.
- We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-app or cross-site advertising tracking.
- You can contact us at quadcitypsc@gmail.com to request access, correction, or deletion.
1. Overview and scope
Amberway is business and operations software for professional pilot car and escort vehicle operators supporting oversize and overweight transportation, and for the brokers who work with them. This Policy applies to information we process through the Amberway website at https://www.amberway.app, the Amberway web application, and the Amberway mobile applications (together, the “Service”).
This Policy describes the information we process, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights available to you. It applies to the Service and not to third-party websites or services that we do not control.
By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, do not use the Service.
2. Information we process
The information we process depends on how you use the Service. We may process the following categories of information:
Account, profile, and authentication information
Name or display name, email address, phone number if you provide one, account and profile information, user and account identifiers, authentication and session information, and preferences. Sign-in credentials are managed through our authentication provider.
Business and operational records
Load and work information; broker, carrier, driver, truck, customer, and pilot relationship information; pickup, delivery, and meetup details; permits and uploaded documents; routes, route points, navigation preferences, and road reports; mileage records; expense records and receipts; invoice information; rates, Rate Book entries, tax and reporting records, payment records, and other business or financial records; and notes or other content you enter.
This may include information about other people, such as broker, carrier, driver, customer, or pilot names, phone numbers, and email addresses. If you provide information about another person, you are responsible for having the authority to do so and for providing any notice required by law.
Documents, images, and files
Permit PDFs, receipts, images, screenshots, and other documents or files you upload, attach, or include in feedback. Some permit-assisted features may use automated document reading to interpret permit instructions; that reading is used only to provide the feature you request.
Broker and pilot relationship information
Invitations, roster membership, capabilities, load offers, assignments, shared documents, route-sharing activity, and location-sharing preferences for a specific broker relationship.
Communications and feedback
Feedback submissions, the subject and description you provide, any optional screenshot, support communications, and information we use to respond to you. Feedback is visible to authorized Amberway administrators.
Subscription, purchase, and entitlement information
Your Amberway plan, trial status, subscription status, feature entitlements, billing customer and subscription identifiers, purchase and transaction records, and related billing information. Payment card details are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Amberway does not directly receive or store your full payment card number.
Technical, device, and log information
IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, app version, request and error logs, session identifiers, cookie and local-storage data, and diagnostic information. Our hosting, authentication, and infrastructure providers may process this information to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and similar technologies on the web to keep you signed in, maintain your session, and protect the Service. The web and mobile applications may store data locally on your device to support offline use and synchronization. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking technologies.
3. Location information
Amberway includes routing, navigation, and Drive Mode functionality. When you use location-dependent features, Amberway may process precise location information to show your position on the map, calculate or follow a route, provide turn guidance, determine off-route status, and support related operational features. Location access is controlled by your device or browser permissions, and you can disable it at any time.
Amberway asks for location access while you use these features. While a Drive Mode session is active, Amberway may also ask for background location access so guidance can continue when the app is not visible in the foreground, including while your screen is off. Background location is used only to support the active Drive Mode session you started; it is not used to continuously track you when you are not using navigation or other location-dependent features. You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings.
Pilots may choose to share their last reported location with a specific broker through Amberway’s optional location-sharing control. Sharing is off unless the pilot enables it, applies only to the broker relationship the pilot selects, and can be revoked in Amberway. When sharing is on, Amberway may record a last reported location while the pilot is using the Service. It does not provide continuous fleet tracking.
Road reports or other community features may include location information you choose to submit. Location permissions can be changed in your device or browser settings; disabling location may limit routing, navigation, Drive Mode, or location-sharing features.
4. How we use information
We use information as necessary to:
- Create, maintain, authenticate, and secure accounts.
- Provide and operate the Service, including load, permit, route, navigation, Drive Mode, road report, mileage, expense, invoice, reporting, and broker/pilot functionality.
- Store and synchronize operational and business records across devices.

We do not use personal information for advertising, behavioral advertising, or cross-app or cross-site tracking, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
6. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain legitimate business and operational records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain appropriate records. Retention periods vary based on the type of information, the nature of our relationship with you, and applicable legal requirements.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it, de-identify it, or take other appropriate steps. Some information may remain in backups for a limited period as part of normal backup and disaster-recovery operations. We may retain certain records after account deletion where required or permitted by law, including for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or enforcement of agreements.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable privacy law to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. This Policy describes the choices available to you regardless of location.
Access and correction
You can review and update your display name and sign-in email in the Account section of Amberway. If you need help accessing or correcting other information, contact us using the details below.
Account deletion and deletion requests
Amberway does not currently provide a self-service in-app account deletion control. To request deletion of your Amberway account or applicable personal information, email quadcitypsc@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account. Please include “Privacy Request” in the subject line and enough information for us to identify your account.
We may ask for additional information to verify your identity or authority to make the request. We will delete or de-identify information that we are not required to retain. Some records may be retained as described in the Data Retention section. Information you shared with a broker or another user may also be held by that user.
Location and sharing controls
You can change location permissions in your device or browser settings. Pilots can enable or revoke location sharing for a specific broker in Amberway. Disabling location may limit routing, navigation, Drive Mode, and location-sharing features.
Cookies and local storage
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in or using parts of the Service. You can also clear local data through your browser or device settings; this may remove offline data from that device.
Responses
We will review and respond to requests as required by applicable law. We may decline or limit a request where the law allows, including where we need to retain information or protect the rights of others.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information, including access controls, authentication, and encrypted connections. We also limit access to information to authorized personnel and service providers who need it to operate, support, and secure the Service.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for using a secure device and network. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us promptly.
9. Children
Amberway is professional business software for pilot car and escort vehicle operators and the brokers who work with them. It is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Amberway, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
10. Where information is processed
Amberway is operated from the United States. We and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where we or they operate. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from the laws in your location.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The Effective Date at the top of this page shows when the Policy was last revised. We will post the updated Policy on this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the Service after an updated Policy is posted means the updated Policy applies to your use.
If we make material changes, we may provide additional notice as appropriate.
